Found BEACH MUSIC at a library book sale and discovered Pat Conroy.
Now reading SOUTH OF BROAD and in the first chapter while reading his descriptions of Charleston I thought of the phrase “a picture paints a thousand words.”
Conroy’s writing can paint a picture in a single sentence!
