Mike![]() Hi. In SOB it is mentioned that Trevor and Sheba performed "lili marchese." Is this a real song? Who has performed it? ![]() ![]() Mary Kulpon | ![]() Mr. Conroy-Please come to Dallas, Texas soon. We love you! ![]() ![]() Lynda Morris-Johnson | ![]() I enjoy your books more than just about any that I read. The latest one, South of Broad is one that I wish never ended. I hope it won't be so long till your next one. You are an exceptional storyteller! ![]() ![]() Chris Griffin | ![]() First, what a wonderful adventure South of Broad was for me. Funny, touching, tragic and beautiful. I try to read other authors, but find that they can never capture southern characters or my favorite city on earth, Charleston as you do. Thank you for an incredible journey. As I read it, I could see the movie unfolding before me...I hope that comes true! Waiting for your next one now.... ![]() ![]() Cynthia J. Blake | ![]() You've done it again. South of Broad - can't stop reading it, yet don't want it to end. Thanks for a great reading experience. ![]() ![]() Emily Peter | ![]() Thanks for another wonderful book (SOB). Since I am a huge fan of Charleston and your work this book held me captive the entire time. I just finished The Water is Wide and found it was factual about most of the southern school districts of that time period. Now, I will be reading Beach Music, again. That is my favorite book by anyone and I reread it every 3 years. I find that as I age I read it differently each time as if I have never read it before. ![]() ![]() Lori Keesee | ![]() I know I'm 14 or so years late, but "Beach Music" is the best book I've ever read. Actually, Frank Muller read it to me. Beach Music fans, do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook. You will love listening to the different accents and dialects. My favorite is John Hardin. What a hoot! ![]() ![]() Cyn Vargo | ![]() Your books helped prepare me a bit for life in the South after many years teaching in Germany--so I thank you. I smiled at the term "troglodyte", since my friend in Beaufort just recently referred to himself as a Ludite. Get yourself a Mac and it will make all the difference. Take care and keep on writing what has become a common culture for so many of us Boomers. ![]() ![]() Loretta Brescia Limon | ![]() As a Pat Conroy fan since reading The Water is Wide, I could not wait to open the cover of South of Broad. Your writing simply grabs me by the heart and holds me captive until I reach the final page. What a story told by a master story teller. Thank you for sharing your gift. ![]() ![]() Nancy Isbell | ![]() South of Broad was worth the wait. I love your books and have them all. I am planning a visit to Charleston soon and know I will enjoy it more for having read your book. Best of everything to you and Cassandra. Hope your health has improved. ![]() ![]()
