Mr. Conroy,
PLEASE tell me that there will be a film adaptation for South of Broad. This is one of my favorite books ever. I have read it numerous times already.

Hi Pat,
Take a look at Sacred Heart Academy Belmont, NC on Facebook. We are trying to find as many old classmates as we can and would love to have you check out the site and become a friend.

Mr. Conroy:

I am reading South of Broad. What a jewel! I met you a few years at the SC Teachers of English conference in Greenville when they were honoring your beloved English teacher, Mr. Norris. What a wonderful man, and I am so delighted I got to meet him and hear him speak. You were very cordial, and with your speech, you made all the English teachers in that room that day feel proud to be English teachers! It was definitely a highlight of my career, and I am privileged to have been a part of that special day. Your books always propel into the South in a way that allows me to become lost in its beauty and history. They also transport me beneath the surface into the side of the South that sometimes outsiders don't know. Thank you for bringing South Carolina to life!

Mr. Conroy,
This summer I was assigned to read your novel the Prince of Tides for my senior English class. I must admit that I was hesitant at first to dive into it, hardly being what you would call an avid reader. But as I entered your world of writings I discovered things, beautiful things about the south, about life, and about human nature. The most resonant was your explanation of how southerners don't cry when it comes to frivelous things. All my life I've thought myself an outcast because during movies and books and what have you I could not shed one tear when most women could use their's to fill the entire Kanawha River. Through your writing I understand the beauty of tradition, sincerity, and simplicity. I thank you for making me open my eyes to this small southern town.

Mr. Conroy,
I read Prince of Tides while vacationing on Edisto Island. The magic doubled when my four uncles taught me to shag on a beach house back porch right before I read Beach Music. For my first anniversary (the paper one), my husband gave me a first edition, signed copy of Beach Music. Please put the novel on Kindle so that I can take it everywhere.

Thank you,
Marci

Hi Pat,
What a story (SOUTH of BROAD)! I laughed, cried, and was so sad when it ended, like losing my own family and friends. MY LOSING SEASON was also another wonderful story. I look forward to your next 3 books.

Blessings for continuing good health. Hey, I'm selfish, I want you to stay healthy and WRITE!!

I started reading Pat Conroy novels in high school (circa 1982-1986) and even wrote my senior english paper on Pat Conroy and his use of discipline.

I love his novels, everytime one comes out I devour it a day or two and can never wait until the next one comes out.

I have read every book published by Mr. Conroy and hope to continue to enjoy his wonderful writings. Thanks for many years of enjoyable literature.

Thanks so much!

Hi Pat,
Is it possible to order an autographed copy of your upcoming new book from the Fripp Island store mentioned by either you or your wife. I'm heading to Italy to help my daughter and her family with their fall olive harvest and pressing and would like to take your new book to read while there. If I can bring back enough fresh olive oil I'll send a bottle to the book store for you. Thank you.

In an ferocious effort, I've got all of your novels, of which I've now read The Water is Wide, Beach Music, Prince of Tides, and Great Santini. But what happened to your The Boo. Where can I get it?
